The main website does not require an account. Anything entered into the printable chore chart stays in your browser or in the PDF file you save and is not uploaded to Himula.
Artwork Studio and language preferences
Selecting an artwork photo creates a preview in the current browser tab; it does not upload or edit the image. The browser does not offer image processing or PNG/ZIP export. Unsubmitted selections and form entries can be lost when you refresh or close the tab. We save your English or Japanese language preference in local storage under himula-language; this preference does not contain account details or images.
Saving artwork requires sign-in using an available email or Google option and an explicit cloud submission. When you submit, account and artwork metadata are stored in Cloudflare D1 and the unchanged original image is stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage. Optional artwork details include a title, artist nickname, age, date, and place. Use a nickname and avoid unnecessary identifying details. Original files may retain embedded metadata, including location information; review the image and its metadata before submitting. Email sign-in uses Resend to deliver a one-time code; Google sign-in uses Google's identity service. Only the information needed for the selected sign-in method is exchanged with that provider.
Signed-in artwork sessions use an HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie scoped to /artwork. Original uploads are private by default. A processed image can appear in the public gallery only after explicit sharing consent and approval. Public gallery information includes the processed image, artwork title, and artist nickname. Age, creation date, and location are private by default for existing and new works. Only the owner can separately enable “Share work details” in sharing settings to include these fields when the work is public, and can turn this off at any time. This choice does not publish a private work. Only share information you have permission to publish, and use a broad location rather than a school, address, or precise location. Copies already downloaded by others cannot be recalled. Automated review and AI processing are not enabled, so new submissions remain pending and do not produce a processed image. You can edit saved artwork details or delete the artwork from your library. The application shows which sign-in and cloud features are available in the current environment.
Privacy-focused analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits and real-world performance, including Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting to identify visitors.
We also count a small set of product and resource actions: downloading the chore chart, using the print button, and opening ChorePaws. These events contain only the event name, the public page path, and the button location. We do not include form entries, children's names, account identifiers, IP addresses, or browser fingerprints in the analytics record. Aggregated conversion events are retained in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine for up to three months.
Product data
ChorePaws is a separate product and may process account details and family task information. Please refer to the privacy information shown within ChorePaws for product-specific details.
Children's information
Himula does not make children's profiles, family chores, or children's creations public by default. Any future public-sharing feature should require a parent to turn it on and should minimize personally identifiable information about children.
